1950s 'Visit India: Taj Mahal' Travel Poster

This poster was issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India in the 1950s. Before the internet, travel posters were a colourful medley of words and visuals. They spoke of far-away lands with a newfound sense of adventure, which was heightened by the 20th-century boom of cruise ships, railways and airlines.
